What do I see?

I see the reflection of beauty and grace staring back at me,

She has kind eyes almost as if I’m looking into the window of her soul.

The portrait is painted with shades of blue, purple, and emerald.

A portrait of royalty,

Her beauty and majesty radiating through each stroke.

The artiste captures her essence wonderfully,

With each passing moment the paint brush gets bolder,

The confidence within her grows stronger.

Her light begins to shine brighter and brighter.

Shades of gold radiate from her,

There is no more darkness that can hide her,

I have come to realize that she is me and the portrait tells my story.

Suddenly I do not feel small my eyes have been opened,

I know who I am.
